Symantec Seal-in-Search, Daily Malware Scanning & Vulnerability Assessments

DigiCert Symantec Seal

All Symantec SSL certificates come with Seal-in-search functionality as standard. This state-of-the-art technology displays a Norton Secured Seal next to your company’s details when you pop up in search engine results. Seal-in-search is available on enabled browsers that have installed a free plug-in and also with partnering websites. You can download the free AVG browser plug-in to enable Seal-in-Search in popular browsers, here: AVG LinkScanner

Seal-in-search makes you stand out from the crowd in search
results, increasing click-throughs, sales and conversions.

The Norton Secured Seal is, itself, the most trusted mark on the internet. 94% of people say they are more likely to continue with a purchase when they see the Norton Secured Seal*.

With increased fears surrounding identity theft and phishing scams, customers are usually reluctant and uneasy to click through to a website they don’t know or are unsure of. The Norton Secured Seal gives visitors, customers and potential customers the confidence they need to click through to your site.

* Symantec U.S. Online Consumer Study, February 2011

The Norton Secured Seal is enabled through Symantec partnerships with third party technology providers and website owners, and is enabled on more than 75 million desktops. Symantec is working to make seal-in-search as prevalent as possible but does not guarantee its availability.

Malware Scanning

Protect your customers from hackers

Malware is short for malicious software. It has been designed to infiltrate a computer system without the owner's informed consent. Hackers exploit security weaknesses on your server to gain access to your website and install malicious code. Hackers can compromise your website to spread viruses and steal sensitive data such as credit card details. Daily website malware scanning shows customers you are committed to keeping them safe.

Email alerts if Malware is detected

If malware is detected, your Norton Secured Seal will be deactivated and an email alert sent to warn you that your website has been compromised by malware. Once all Malware has been deleted you can request that your site be rescanned within 24 hours. Once you’re good to go, your Norton Secured Seal will be reactivated.

Vulnerability Assessment

Includes new Vulnerability Assessment

All our Symantec SSL certificates now come with a built-in Vulnerability Assessment as standard. Strengthening your website’s security, the Vulnerability Assessment identifies and quickly fixes the most critical vulnerabilities that could be exploited by hackers. This, added to the many other outstanding security features from Symantec, will give you the most secure SSL solution in the world today.
